Site Manager/Electronics Technician, Maintenance III

Performs operations and maintenance on Aviation Survival Training Center simulator equipment and other devices as required. Performs “O” (organizational) level (both on-line and off-line), “I” (intermediate) level off-line, and “D” (depot) level maintenance.

Experience:

  • Shall have five (5) years of management experience in which two (2) years shall be management of electronic maintenance and shall meet the qualifications required for the site Electronics Technician, Maintenance III.
  • Demonstrate twelve (12) months supervisory electronics maintenance experience; ability to prioritize resources to meet daily utilization schedule; communicate effectively; and ability to train and develop shift personnel and perform administration duties.
  • 6 years simulator maintenance experience of which 2 years must be in the maintenance of complex areas, systems and subsystems of like trainers outlined in the PWS.

Education:

  • Graduated from a two-year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical institute or have completed the factory/formal training.
  • With the Government concurrence equivalent simulator maintenance and education may be substituted for the above requirements provided it is comparable to systems in the specific trainer of assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures operations personnel are trained to fully exploit the capabilities of the training devices
  • Ensures the inventory is maintained and replacement parts are ordered timely
  • Ensures devices are ready for training at the scheduled CTT
  • Solicit user feedback on trainer readiness/training device quality/staff capability
  • Ensure CDRL submissions are accurate
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Device operator duties.
  • Perform electrical/mechanical adjustments.
  • Remove and replace failed components.
  • Assist in installation/checkout of modifications.
  • Document all maintenance actions.
  • Use test equipment/module tests for “I” level maintenance.
  • Perform software loading for mission setups.
  • Perform functional tests.
  • Perform depot level maintenance in central repair activity.
  • Perform daily operational readiness test.
  • Instruct and document progress in OJT program.
  • Additional duties as assigned
