For the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Engineering Support Personnel (ESP) maintains four full-scope, nuclear power plant simulators at the Technical Training Center (TTC) located in Chattanooga, TN. The four full-scope control room simulators replicate the reactor designs by Babcock & Wilcox, General Electric, Combustion Engineering, and Westinghouse.
ESP provides support in the areas of preventive and corrective maintenance; spare parts purchase, installation, and accountability; vendor support; hardware modifications; and hardware configuration management control. Equipment maintained includes control panel hardware, video displays, audio devices, input/output (I/O) systems, cabling and wiring; and computer systems and their peripherals, including the main simulation computers and any auxiliary computer systems that are part of the simulators.
